WR AI Mathematics
AI that checks every step of the solution – not just the answer
WR AI Mathematics is a module for lower and upper secondary schools, built on the approved national curriculum and organised by the topic units teachers know from their lesson plans. Teachers no longer have to guess where exactly the problem is, or prepare three versions of the same task by hand.
How one task cycle works
- Step 1
The method, not the answer
The pupil writes each step in a maths editor – fractions, powers and roots look exactly as they do in an exercise book.
- Step 2
Step verification
The system checks mathematically whether each step is a valid transformation of the previous one – pupils can take their own route and the system accepts it if it is correct.
- Step 3
Explaining the mistake
When there is a mistake, the system identifies its type from a catalogue of typical errors and explains exactly what the pupil did, with a visualisation.
- Step 4
Updating the pupil model
The result feeds into a model of mastery for each node of the curriculum – not a single overall grade.
Who it is for
Lower secondary
grades 5–9
Upper secondary
secondary school
T9
Testovanie 9 (Slovak national test)
Maturita
school-leaving exam
Maths is checked by maths, not a language model.
Whether a step is correct is decided by a computer algebra system – not a language model. So the system never confirms a wrong method or invents a justification. The language model only explains what has already been verified mathematically.
What the module offers
For pupils
- Personalised task sequence
Pupils get the next tasks based on exactly what they can and cannot do yet – without the teacher stepping in.
- Explanation instead of correction
An explanation of exactly what went wrong, not just a model solution.
- Visualisations that explain why
Pupils test key concepts hands-on instead of accepting a statement or memorising a formula.
- Hints on demand
Gradual guidance to the next step instead of a ready-made solution; the school sets the level of support.
- Preparation for Testovanie 9 and Maturita
Practice sets in the structure and time limit of the exam, broken down by topic.
- Mobile and offline, no password
Runs in the browser, core lessons work offline, sign-in by QR code.
For teachers
- Class map – who struggles where
A colour overview of pupils and skills at a glance, with click-through to each pupil’s steps.
- Alerts for systematic errors
When a larger part of the class shares the same misconception, the system offers an explanation card to project.
- Scanning and marking written tests
Photograph a paper test, recognise the handwritten working and mark the first mistake in it.
- Differentiated tasks in one click
The teacher picks a topic; the system prepares several difficulty levels and assigns them to pupils based on their progress.
- Tests and worksheets with variants
One set produces as many variants as there are pupils in the class – with an automatic answer key.
- Evidence for grading
A record of the pupil’s work to support a grade with the pupil, parents and in school documentation.
How it differs from workbooks and other AI tools
Maths is checked by maths
A computer algebra system decides whether a step is correct, not a language model – which only explains what has been verified.
Catalogue of typical mistakes
The system knows and can name pupils’ typical misconceptions for every topic, not just the fact that a mistake happened.
Visual derivation instead of memorising
A formula stops being something to memorise and becomes the result of something the pupil saw and tried.
Reading handwritten working
The system understands maths written on paper, not just circled answers on a test.
